Registered Nurse – Outpatient, State College, Pennsylvania, United States. Travel - temporary assignment. Start date 04/20/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,999–$2,154 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week. Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call. The role supports an outpatient care setting with perioperative and post-anesthesia care (PACU) responsibilities in an outpatient surgical center environment.

Responsibilities
- Assess and respond to the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs; advocate for the patient and family.
- Deliver nursing care and judgment in the outpatient setting, including IV therapy, and interpret labs and EKG results.
- Transcribe and implement physicians’ orders accurately; admit patients to the outpatient surgical center efficiently.
- Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record; verify that required information and site marking are completed and that anesthesia has spoken with patient and family.
- Provide clear patient and family education regarding procedures, care plans, and post-visit instructions as appropriate.
- Support supply management and cost containment while maintaining high-quality patient care; assist with housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain a clean clinical environment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in Pennsylvania
- Outpatient or perioperative nursing experience preferred, with ability to work in an outpatient surgical center setting
- Proficient in nursing documentation and basic clinical procedures; comfortable with IV therapy and routine perioperative care
- Availability for 8-hour day shifts, 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday; no weekend or on-call requirements
- Strong communication skills and teamwork to coordinate with the surgical team, on-site staff, and patients’ families
