Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages and acuities, including Level 2 NICU
- Manage mechanical ventilation, monitor patient status, adjust settings, and troubleshoot alarms
- Deliver prescribed therapies and perform airway management with neonatal and pediatric focus as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team; document care and ensure patient safety
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and adhere to AHA/ACLS/PALS/NRP protocols; maintain BLS competency
Requirements
- NBRC RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
- Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA) in good standing
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 5 years of respiratory care experience
- Neonatal and pediatric Level 2 NICU experience
- Radius rule: traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility
- Experienced traveler; not eligible as a first travel assignment
