Responsibilities
- Administer APTA-standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases to relieve pain, restore motor function, and maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct patient evaluations and participate in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; monitor and adapt as needed.
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including instruction on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes in the medical record per policy.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective, and ethical care, adjusting plans based on patient response and clinical guidelines.
Requirements
- Works under limited supervision while administering APTA-standard physical therapy treatments.
- Outpatient-focused physical therapy duties performed in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work a daytime shift (Days) with 8-hour blocks.
- Available for a 13-week contractual assignment; willing to travel as part of a travel assignment.
- Possess the credentialing and clinical skills appropriate for outpatient physical therapy practice (consistent with standard professional expectations).
