Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in a high-acuity NICU, including patients from 22 weeks gestation and greater
- Monitor and manage respiratory support, including conventional ventilation and advanced modalities as available
- Administer medications via IV drips and manage vasopressors and sedation as prescribed
- Perform central line maintenance and ensure safe IV access
- Conduct neonatal resuscitation and stabilization per current protocols; participate in routine care and therapies such as total body cooling and inhaled therapies when indicated
- Collaborate with neonatology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other disciplines; document care accurately and communicate with families
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- AHA BLS and NRP certification required
- Neonatal ICU care experience with very high acuity patients
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Competence in a NICU environment with monitoring and advanced therapies
