Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Location benefits are an integral part of this role. Lewiston’s healthcare ecosystem emphasizes collaborative care, strong community ties, and accessibility to services that matter to older adults and their families. The region’s LTC facilities value continuity of care, clear communication, and evidence-based practices, all of which align with your nursing strengths. Working here, you’ll enjoy straightforward access to therapeutic programs, rehabilitation services, and social work support that enhances resident well-being. And for those who appreciate variety, the program offers placement options across multiple U.S. locations, enabling you to experience distinct resident needs, facility cultures, and regional best practices while keeping housing support and consistent professional standards front and center. Additionally, Maine’s unmatched natural beauty—whether exploring riverfront strolls, nearby parks, or easy drives to coastal towns—provides restorative opportunities after shifts, helping you maintain balance and energy for your demanding role.
In this role, you’ll deliver comprehensive LTC nursing across a wide spectrum of resident needs. Core responsibilities include performing thorough assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring chronic conditions, administering medications with precision, managing wound care and, where permitted, IV therapy, and leading falls prevention and infection control initiatives. You’ll coordinate with physicians, specialists, therapists, and social workers to optimize outcomes, document care accurately in electronic health records, and communicate clearly with residents and families to foster trust and informed decision-making. Your leadership will extend to mentoring less experienced team members, contributing to quality improvement projects, and supporting memory care and palliative approaches with dignity and empathy. The position is designed for professional growth within the LTC specialty, offering ongoing education opportunities, supervision, and the chance to advance toward leadership roles such as charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
This assignment includes compelling benefits designed to support your career and well-being. You’ll receive weekly pay ranging from $1,668 to $1,746, with guaranteed 36 hours per week, creating stability in a dynamic travel nursing landscape. A sign-on bonus and housing assistance are available to help you transition smoothly into Lewiston and beyond. The program also features extensive support, including 24/7 assistance while you travel with the company, ensuring you have real-time help for scheduling, compliance, and on-site needs. In addition, you’ll have access to ongoing professional development, credentialed training, and opportunities to extend assignments based on mutual need and your preferences. The combination of competitive compensation, practical benefits, and a robust support network makes this LTC RN position not only a job but a launchpad for sustained excellence in geriatric care.
Company values center on empowerment and growth. The organization is dedicated to empowering staff, advancing careers through structured mentorship and credentials, and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where every nurse’s voice is heard and every resident receives outstanding care. This culture of respect and collaboration helps you feel valued from day one and positions you for long-term success within the broader network of facilities across the country. The emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement ensures you’ll have the resources, recognition, and encouragement needed to excel.
If you’re ready to impact lives, expand your LTC expertise, and experience Maine’s unique blend of charm and professional opportunity, this is the role for you. Apply now to begin February 24, 2026, with a weeks-long assignment that can extend based on performance and facility needs.
