Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
- Perform additional imaging procedures as needed, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location and ensure image quality.
- Maintain accurate patient records, files and billing information; adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment; manage supply inventory.
- Collaborate with the radiology team and support other modalities (e.g., X-ray, OR) when proficient.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT-registered RT (R)(CT)(ARRT) or RT (R)(ARRT); CA Radiologic Tech license required; Advanced Certification in CT required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor; CA fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy; Venipuncture certification required if performing contrast injections.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred).
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in radiologic technology; EPIC experience preferred.
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital imaging department; eligible for CA licensure and able to travel as a travel assignment.
