Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans for varied patient types using Philips Achieva and Siemens 1.5 T Sola systems, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
- Screen patients for contraindications and maintain strict safety protocols; monitor patients during imaging
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, manage patient positioning, and optimize protocols for different body regions
- Utilize Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inte interview PACS for order management, imaging capture, and image routing
- Verify patient identity and eligibility, document procedures, and ensure accurate procedural coding and scheduling
- Maintain sterile technique, patient comfort, and effective communication with radiologists and referring staff
Requirements
- Licensure: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) with BLS
- Experience: 2 years MRI technologist experience
- Travel experience: minimum 1 year travel assignment preferred
- Equipment familiarity: Philips Achieva, Siemens 1.5 T Sola; proficiency with Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS
- Availability: weekend coverage required (Fri–Mon, 4x10s)
- Credentialing readiness: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Orientation: willingness to attend on-site orientation schedule (Mon–Tues 8:30 AM–4:30 PM at KU Main Campus; Wed orientation at Olathe Campus)
