Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy imaging in a high-volume 24-hour department, with inpatient and outpatient exams.
- Operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment and provide imaging support for OR procedures as needed.
- Conduct procedures including, but not limited to, lumbar punctures, routine X-rays, and fluoroscopic exams; ensure proper patient positioning and shielding.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure image quality, patient safety, and ALARA principles; document and label images accurately.
- Manage a high-volume workflow, with an emphasis on efficiency and patient care in a department averaging around 150 exams in a 24-hour period.
- Maintain equipment and participate in routine quality control and safety protocols for radiographic imaging.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the Diagnostic Radiology specialty
- AHA BLS certification
- OR and fluoroscopy experience
- Ability to work in a high-volume, 24-hour department serving inpatient and outpatient populations
