Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients and assigned groups using the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor patient status, assess needs, and implement a care plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and ongoing health coaching.
- Document care and progress in the electronic health record; ensure data accuracy and patient safety throughout shifts.
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California or eligible)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor; CPR/other required per policy; ACLS/ALS and NRP/ALS or equivalent per position requirements; BLS required at facility level
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN nursing experience
- Education: BSN preferred
- Special skills: EPIC EMR experience required; ability to work in a high-acuity obstetric setting on a night shift
