Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Conduct focused data collection, analyze assessment data, and determine diagnoses and care plans.
- Implement the plan of care, coordinate service delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient response, and escalate changes as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide evidence-based education to patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience; acute care facility experience preferred
- Additional: EPIC experience required
