Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for high-acuity Med/Surg and trauma patients during night shifts
- Conduct assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and ensure patient safety
- Document care and interventions promptly in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with ED and admitting unit teams; complete nurse handoffs to ED and admitting colleagues
- Support unit operations with a night-shift unit secretary and phlebotomy resources; participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Maintain a patient load near a 5:1 ratio and adhere to established protocols and safety standards
Requirements
- Current RN license in Georgia
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/high-acuity experience
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work on-site in Atlanta and to support a night-shift, high-tempo environment
- No RTO requests permitted for this assignment
