Responsibilities
- Perform CT and conventional radiography exams according to physician orders, ensuring proper protocol, patient positioning, and image quality.
- Operate CT scanners and X-ray equipment; select appropriate exposure factors and maintain radiation safety with ALARA principles.
- Provide C-arm imaging support in the operating room as needed.
- Verify patient information, ensure correct exam labeling, and document procedures accurately in the system.
- Collaborate with radiology teammates and OR staff to maintain efficient imaging workflow and timely study completion.
- Adhere to infection control practices and report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Note geographic eligibility and scheduling constraints as required for the travel assignment.
Requirements
- Experience with CT and radiography imaging is preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and maintain a 4x10-hour shift pattern.
- Comfort providing imaging support in a surgery center environment and in OR settings as needed.
- Willingness to perform C-arm imaging in the OR when required.
