Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy treatments, ensuring correct patient identification, treatment site, and immobilization.
- Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment, delivering prescribed doses accurately and safely under the guidance of the clinical team.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, nurses, and physics staff to execute the treatment plan and address any deviations.
- Verify patient positioning and imaging guidance, document treatment parameters, and maintain accurate treatment logs.
- Maintain equipment safety and quality assurance practices in line with ARRT guidance and hospital policies.
- Adhere to American Heart Association BLS guidelines and contribute to patient safety and privacy throughout all procedures.
Requirements
- Certification: Active ARRT (RRT) certification; BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in radiation therapy.
- Licenses/Certificates: License requirements aligned with ARRT standards; compliance with state regulations as applicable.
- Physical/Setting: Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment; willingness to relocate as needed; no local candidates within 50 miles.
