Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume ER, including triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Manage telemetry, interpret cardiac strips, and respond to arrhythmias or deteriorating conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Document assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and infection control
- Participate in onboarding activities, including a telemetry skills evaluation on day one with study materials provided
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) required
- Telemetry experience: 2+ years; travel experience: 1 year
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Flu vaccine required during onboarding
- Minimum 6 months since previous permanent, per diem, or contract role
- Schedule flexibility for night shifts (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) and every other weekend as noted
