Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER in Hilo, Hawaii. Travel (temporary assignment) starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,855-$1,938 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (36 hours weekly). Work in an emergency department with 28 beds, including 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. Hawaii licensure is required by start of assignment; applicants not currently in possession of a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance. No guaranteed hours for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, fluids, and analgesia; manage IVs and cardiac monitoring as indicated; assist with procedures within scope
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other ED staff; document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate to the team as needed; ensure patient safety and infection control
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; participate in discharge planning and education
Requirements
- Hawaii RN license (active) required by start of assignment; if not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply upon acceptance
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED environment
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN licensure in good standing
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements
