Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for a caseload of residents in a long-term care setting (1–30 residents)
- Administer prescribed medications on the hall due to absence of med tech support and document administrations accurately
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall status; recognize changes and escalate to the supervising RN as needed
- Complete ongoing assessments, update care plans and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
- Uphold safety and infection control standards; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Local candidates only; ability to work on-site in the Albuquerque area
- Experience with medication administration in a setting with limited or no med tech support
- Completion or eligibility for required pre-employment training prior to floor duties
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work independently within the nurse’s scope of practice
