Physical Therapy Assistant (LTAC) in a long-term care setting in Cunningham, Kansas. Responsibilities
- Deliver PTA services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, including therapeutic exercises and functional mobility activities.
- Assess patients’ mobility, range of motion, strength, balance, and pain status; document findings and progress toward goals.
- Implement and modify treatment plans as directed, including gait training, transfer training, gait assistance, and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
- Monitor patient responses to interventions, document progress notes, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and equipment safety; support discharge planning and coordination with other disciplines as needed.
Requirements
- Active Kansas Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to practice in Kansas.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to work in a long-term care / skilled nursing setting with medically complex patients.
- Prior LTAC or SNF experience preferred; willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and work the Day 8x4 shift.
