Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, this exciting travel opportunity invites you to bring your skill, compassion, and resilience to a fast-paced Med/Surg environment. You’ll start on 03/31/2026, with a flexible contract that runs for a number of weeks, designed to challenge you, celebrate your strengths, and support your continued growth. This role is more than a assignment—it’s a pathway to elevating your practice, expanding your network, and experiencing the impact you can have on patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments.

From its vibrant riverfront areas and rich arts scene to its renowned parks and accessible community programs, Lincoln provides a welcoming backdrop for professional and personal growth. The opportunity to work in Nebraska offers a chance to immerse yourself in a state known for its strong healthcare community, collaborative teams, and a pace that supports thorough, patient-centered care. In this Med Surg RN role, you’ll manage a broad scope of inpatient care for adult patients with diverse medical conditions. Core responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, wound care, IV therapy, medication reconciliation, and monitoring of vital signs and telemetry as appropriate. You’ll collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and rapid recovery. You’ll document meticulously, advocate for patient education, and empower families with clear explanations and practical guidance for post-hospital care. Your critical thinking will guide prioritization during fluctuating acuity, and your leadership at the bedside will mentor junior staff and peers toward best practices. Beyond daily tasks, there’s ample opportunity for professional growth—whether you’re pursuing specialized certifications, expanding proficiency in catheter care or post-operative management, or taking on preceptorship roles to train new nurses. The structure of this assignment accommodates personal work-life balance while ensuring you’re challenged and supported to advance within the Med Surg specialty.

Competitive benefits accompany this role, including a generous weekly pay range of $1,975 to $2,054, with guaranteed hours at 36 per week. In addition to competitive compensation, a sign-on bonus is available, along with housing assistance to ease relocation and daily life on assignment. You’ll also find extension opportunities that allow you to continue growing within our network, linking you with follow-on assignments that align with your professional goals and preferred settings.
