Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and initial assessments for individuals in a corrections setting.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration to the medical record.
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and respond to routine and emergent situations per protocol.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to confidentiality and security requirements.
- Apply infection control practices, safety procedures, and standard precautions in all interactions.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (state of Vermont) or eligible for licensure as required by the assignment.
- Ability to work in a corrections setting and follow facility policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; solid documentation ability.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to travel schedule.
- Ability to pass routine screenings and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
