Responsibilities
- Deliver direct ICU nursing care to adult critical care patients, including ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Monitor invasive devices and hemodynamics, manage ventilated patients, and administer medications and sedatives as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams; respond promptly to clinical changes and emergencies
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in bedside handoffs and rounds
- Maintain infection control protocols, monitor for complications, and provide family education and discharge planning
- May be required to float to nearby units or sites within the region as assignment needs dictate
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of submission; license verification is required
- Local rate eligible for locals within ~50 miles; RTO must be included at submission
- ICU experience required: 2–3 years preferred; CVICU experience strongly preferred; must show ability to work independently as a self-starter
- EMR experience preferred: Cerner
- Able to float to ED, step-down, and med-surg with modified assignments; occasional behavioral health float may be requested
