Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Atlanta, GA. Start date 10/05/2026 for a 14-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $1,617–$1,704. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to general medical and surgical patients on an admission unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; communicate findings and care plans clearly with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status; respond promptly to deteriorations; participate in rounds and coordinate with physicians, case management, and ancillary staff.
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to evidence-based practices; ensure safe handling of equipment and use of PPE.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions; support timely discharges and appropriate throughput.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, 5:1 patient ratio environment by prioritizing tasks and coordinating admissions and discharges efficiently.
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license (or eligible) with proper licensure verification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Education: Nursing degree from an approved program (RN)
- Ability to work in a high-turnover admission unit; strong communication and independent practice skills
