Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adolescents on an inpatient behavioral health unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; update care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor effects, and document in the EMR
- Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention as needed; ensure patient safety and unit safety
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other disciplines to support treatment goals
- Support discharge planning and family education as appropriate within unit protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a Compact state required at submission
- NURSYS license verification showing all active RN licenses
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in adolescent behavioral health inpatient (travel experience preferred)
- Current certifications: BLS and CPI or MOAB
- EMR experience preferred (Cerner); not required
- Ability to work in a hospital inpatient behavioral health setting; willingness to float to affiliated locations as needed
