Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse (PCU) – Plattsburgh, NY | Start 06/01/2026 | Travel assignment | 16–32 weeks | $2,378–$2,475 per week | 3x12 day shifts | Acute inpatient progressive care unit in a hospital setting

- Orientation: 1–2 days; bi-weekly orientations (next available 6/15)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult PCU patients, including monitoring telemetry and assessing clinical changes
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including insulin drips and cardiac drips, and starting IVs as needed
- Perform EKGs, interpret telemetry data, and respond to cardiac/respiratory alarms
- Collaborate with the unit’s Resource Float team and other disciplines to coordinate patient care
- Document all care accurately in the EPIC system and ensure timely communication with physicians
- Assist with post-procedural care (e.g., post-cardiac cath) and support transitions of care
Requirements
- Valid New York RN license or proof of application with applied date (NY licensure timeline 6–8 weeks)
- BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, including 1 year in the specialty; telemetry experience preferred
- Active EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Telemetry/PCU experience with ability to float to appropriate units as needed
