Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images per physician orders and established protocols
- Position patients, select coils, and optimize imaging parameters to produce high-quality MR images
- Prepare, administer, and monitor contrast media as required; monitor patient safety throughout procedures
- Verify patient information, document findings, measurements, and image quality; present results to physicians as directed
- Collaborate with radiologists and other care team members to coordinate imaging workflows and patient care
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, privacy regulations, and regulatory requirements; maintain equipment and perform routine quality checks
Requirements
- Education: Certificate or diploma from an MRI program or an Associate’s degree in Radiology; Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Active state Radiologic Technologist license; ARRT-R, ARRT-MR, or ARMRIT certification required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and adapt to a rotating night shift schedule
