Cardiovascular Technologist, OR - CVOR Tech travel assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. Start 06/29/2026 for a 13-16 week assignment, 3x12-hour day shifts (0700-1930). Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub as applicable; maintain sterile technique and accurate case setup
- Prepare OR rooms and equipment, assist with instrument counts, and support rapid room turnover
- Support vascular and orthopedic cases as part of the CVOR team; assist with initial IV starts and patient transports as needed
- Document intraoperative activity in the EPIC system and coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Collaborate with OR staff, including AAs, scrub techs, and RNs; respond to equipment or supply needs promptly
- Participate in rotation and call coverage: 1 night per week and 1 weekend day per 4-week schedule
Requirements
- Active New York license (Surgical Technologist or equivalent CVOR credential) and BLS certification
- NBSTSA Surgical Tech certification verification or equivalency (Champlain equivalency acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical OR experience, with 2 years in CVOR specialty; vascular and ortho skills required
- Prior travel experience preferred; ability to work in a high-volume OR setting and rotate across cases
- Demonstrated ability to circulate; scrub experience preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Orientation readiness and ability to comply with unit-specific policies and documentation standards
