Speech Language Pathologist in a long-term care setting located in Waldorf, Maryland. Start date 05/11/2026 for 11 weeks. Travel assignment with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
- Deliver direct therapy and collaborate with nursing staff and therapists to support resident goals.
- Document evaluation results, treatment progress, and discharge planning in the facility’s electronic health records.
- Communicate findings and care recommendations to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members; participate in care planning meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Active Maryland state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- Ability to work on-site in a long-term care setting.
- Experience with geriatric populations and/or skilled nursing environments is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
- Eligibility for a travel assignment of 11 weeks with guaranteed 35 hours per week.
