Responsibilities
- Perform 2D and 3D transthoracic echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography as appropriate, including bubble studies and M-mode imaging
- Obtain high-quality images for adult and geriatric patients with common cardiovascular diagnoses (e.g., CHF, valvular disease, post-Watchman, TAVR, endocarditis)
- Conduct portable echocardiography studies and operate PACS; document and label studies for interpretation
- Utilize Epic for charting and ensure accurate data entry, measurements, and image storage per lab protocols
- Collaborate with the cardiology team to optimize study quality and comply with lab safety and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS RDCS (AE) OR CCI RCS; BLS; RCS or ARDCS (AE)
- Experience: minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience
- Charting: Epic experience required
- Imaging skills: 2D/3D echo, TEE, bubble study, M-mode; adult acute care echo experience
- Setting: ability to work in a busy echo lab serving adults and geriatrics; on-call capability required
