Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of ER patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with multiple disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory judgment to prioritize, plan, and implement patient care.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform procedures within scope, and document care per policy.
- Respond to emergencies, reassess plans of care, and escalate as needed to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensure, certification, and education requirements are provided in the Job Notes section.
- ER nursing experience appropriate to the assignment is provided in the Job Notes section.
- Ability to work in a hospital/ER setting and handle high-acuity patients.
- Willingness to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
