Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring, assessments, and intervention planning.
- Manage hemodynamics and ventilator support, titrating medications and therapies per physician orders and protocol.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and respond to emergencies with advanced life support skills.
- Document all patient data, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience noted as a big plus).
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care coordination.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies and CA nursing standards; provide patient and family education as needed.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (unrestricted)
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/critical care experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
- Cerner (or similar EHR) experience considered a big plus
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts (0700–1930) in a Critical Access Hospital ICU setting
