Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across OB, abdomen, vascular (DVT, carotids) and breast imaging in an outpatient setting
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and biopsy assistance, including thoracentesis and paracentesis as indicated
- Ensure high-quality imaging, optimize equipment settings, and document findings accurately
- Enter results in the EPIC charting system and communicate with radiologists and referring clinicians
- Provide care for a patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric, and participate in call coverage (every 3rd day after 6:00 PM and every 3rd weekend) with required floating to related units as needed
- Maintain infection control, safety practices, and equipment readiness
Requirements
- Active ARDMS certification and BLS required
- NY state license must be in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience; community hospital experience and outpatient experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Preferred: ARRT – Sonography; RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds); RVT
- Ability to work in an outpatient setting and to float as needed
