Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated med/surg nursing care to assigned patients according to the nursing process.
- Collect relevant health data, assess needs, analyze findings, and contribute to diagnosis and care planning.
- Develop and implement a patient care plan, coordinate with the multidisciplinary team, and promote a safe healing environment.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and ensure safety and quality standards.
- Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes and adjust plans as needed; participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families, and delegate tasks appropriately to other members of the care team.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
- EPIC experience required
- BSN preferred; acute care facility experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting
