Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies per physician orders, including oxygen therapy, humidification, airway clearance, aerosolized medications, and bronchopulmonary hygiene.
- Monitor and manage patients on ventilatory support; assist with ventilator management and weaning as appropriate; respond to respiratory emergencies.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as bedside assessments and arterial blood gas sampling as directed; interpret findings to guide care.
- Document treatments, monitor patient response, and communicate with physicians and nursing staff to adjust care plans; maintain infection control and safety standards.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensure proper sanitation, restock supplies, and participate in patient education and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Participate in on-call rotations and shift coverage as assigned, contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team.

Requirements
- Associate degree in respiratory care or equivalent education/certificate.
- Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a general/acute hospital setting.
- Current, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
- Current, valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current certifications from the American Heart Association: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to start; ability to work day or swing shifts with 24-hour coverage rotation.
