Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Rochester, NY. Start date: 05/18/2026. This 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based ED is for an experienced ER RN working 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N). Weekly pay range: $2,115 to $2,152 per week, with no guaranteed hours. The setting is a high-volume, Level I trauma center ED that manages a diverse patient population. Note: The ER program cannot support first-time travel nurses.

Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and triage to identify priorities for treatment in a busy ED
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry; respond to changes in patient status promptly
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; manage IVs, drains, and related devices
- Assist with trauma and resuscitation efforts; support diverse patient populations including boarder patients
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the ED multidisciplinary team; document care accurately; provide patient and family education
- Ensure safety, infection control, documentation, and quality of care; participate in continuous improvement and patient flow initiatives
Requirements
- NY RN license (active, NY license only)
- Two (2) years of ED experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Previous travel ER experience required
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification or documented NIHSS competency
