Responsibilities
- Independently perform a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning per physician prescriptions.
- Fabricate specialized treatment aides and coordinate with the care team to ensure accurate patient setup and treatment delivery.
- Proficiently operate a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and manage ARIA electronic medical record workflows; document in Epic EMR as required.
- Manage a patient load of approximately 25-30 patients per day across 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatment modalities.
- Conduct setups for all treatment sites within a comprehensive cancer care program and participate in ongoing QA and safety checks.
- Apply age-appropriate, developmentally considerate care, assess patient status, and communicate effectively with patients and families within the life-span framework.
Requirements
- 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
- Current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as Radiation Therapist; Hawaii license by start date required
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR; Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to treat 25-30 patients per day
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements
