Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Collaborates with obstetric and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, timely interventions, and patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Documents care accurately and ensures continuity of care across shifts and team members.
- Adheres to hospital policies, professional standards, and evidence-based practice in the delivery of nursing care.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery unit within a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts as part of a travel temporary assignment.
