Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures, including prone and upright biopsy planning, breast localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography as part of an advanced breast imaging team
- Ensure high image quality through proper patient positioning, compression, and radiation safety practices; monitor patient comfort and safety during exams
- Operate and optimize mammography equipment (including potential use of Hologic Dimensions) and collaborate with radiologists and technologists in a high-volume setting
- Document procedures and images in the medical record system (EPIC EMR experience is preferred) and maintain accurate imaging records
- Support interventional workflows, assist with biopsies and localization procedures as needed, and adhere to department protocols and quality standards
Requirements
- Active ARRT licensure in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M); active Kansas Board of Healing Arts license (in hand at submission)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Strong experience with advanced breast imaging procedures (e.g., prone/upright biopsies, breast localizations, contrast-enhanced mammography)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume department
- EPIC EMR experience and familiarity with breast imaging workflows (preferred)
