Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, and document findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate and compliant charting; ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control and privacy standards.
- Follow department policies, including float pool guidelines: this department only includes education and non-productive hours of Float Pool nurses; float pool nurses working a unit should clock in to the unit being worked.
- Assist with discharge planning, patient education, and care coordination as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the United States
- Telemetry nursing experience or familiarity with telemetry units
- Willingness to work night shifts (3x12, nights)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting
- Ability to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
