Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a hybrid unit that combines step-down and tele/telemetry-med-surg patients.
- Monitor and manage adult cardiac patients in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU, including STEMI and NSTEMI r/t cardiac events; respond to changes in telemetry and clinical status.
- Administer cardiac medications and drips as ordered (e.g., Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) and ensure safe administration per protocol.
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3–4, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to care planning and discharge preparation.
- Ensure BLS/ACLS requirements are current; implement code readiness and participate in ongoing patient safety initiatives.
- May be assigned to telemetry beds in the same unit with lower-acuity patients; document thoroughly and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record.

Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an approved registered nursing education program; active RN license in Georgia.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a similar-sized facility or unit.
- Specialty/Setting: Experience in PCU/IMCU or comparable cardiac population with telemetry; ability to work in a unit with mixed acuity patients.
- Additional: Ability to work the listed shift pattern and adapt to a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
