Responsibilities
- Provide telemetry nursing care to assigned patients within the RN scope of practice
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry readouts; interpret rhythms and promptly respond to changes per protocol
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as ordered; monitor for adverse effects
- Document care and progress in the electronic medical record (Altera Sunrise) and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, unit charge nurses, and support staff
- Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to clinical policies; float to other units as needed
Requirements
- MO or Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1+ year of Telemetry RN experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in orientation and onboarding as described
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
