Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director, administer physical therapy to patients from pediatric to geriatric populations with the goal of improving functional ability.
- Assess evaluations and test results; collaborate with physicians to determine or prescribe physical therapy treatment plans.
- Help patients achieve treatment goals by guiding manual and nonmanual exercises, ambulatory activities, activities of daily living, and the use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, prostheses).
- Administer treatments such as massage, traction, physical agents, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, and other modalities; supervise aides, technicians, and assistants as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate the effects of therapy, adjust plans as appropriate, and assess fit and progress of prosthetic or orthotic devices.
- Contribute to discharge planning by coordinating with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other team members; participate in care conferences.
- Design and teach home exercise programs; provide caregiver and family instruction; recommend equipment and outpatient or home health follow-up as appropriate.
- Document patient care in medical records; maintain patient confidentiality; adhere to infection-control policies and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and participate in in-service training; support a collaborative team approach and compliance with applicable laws and standards.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for PT diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation across the lifespan
- Ability to work effectively in an acute-care rehabilitation setting and participate in discharge planning
- Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality
- Proficiency in applying safety, infection-control, and equipment-maintenance practices
