Responsibilities
- Perform mammography examinations (screening and diagnostic) using standard protocols, with required tomosynthesis training as applicable; assess image quality and perform QA/QC duties.
- Corroborate patient clinical history with the procedure and coordinate appropriate follow-up imaging when needed; communicate findings and report to radiologists or attending physicians.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide clear instructions to obtain optimal results, support patient cooperation, and ensure safety with restraints/support devices as indicated.
- Verify informed consent, maintain sterile technique as required, and assist the radiologist or medical provider during procedures; manage protective practices to minimize radiation exposure.
- Manage workflow by reading orders, scheduling exams, handling interruptions, and transferring imaging to PACS or other digital workstations; maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.

Requirements
- Current ARRT registration (R)(M) or equivalent; active license as required by state regulations.
- Initial training in digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
- Two years post-graduation experience preferred; MQSA requirements met, including 15 breast CEU within 36 months and 200 mammography exams in 24 months preferred.
- Meets current MQSA positioning requirements; ability to perform routing screening and diagnostic mammography views.
- BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with dedicated mammography training preferred; or ARRT eligibility/recertification as applicable.
- Ability to work in the listed location and in a hospital setting; day shift availability.
- Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.
