Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to assigned patients or groups, applying the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy; monitor for adverse effects
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff and assistive personnel; delegate tasks as appropriate
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to ensure safe, timely, and holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records and ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or a related setting
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced LTC environment
