Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum, in Anaconda, Montana, United States. Start date: 03/24/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery, and support labor analgesia as needed.
- Conduct postpartum and newborn assessments; educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and newborn care.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies (e.g., hemorrhage, fetal distress) and collaborate with the OB/GYN team to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure infection control and patient safety throughout care.
- Coordinate with on-call coverage and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts.
Requirements
- Active MT nursing license or a qualifying compact license
- Minimum 2 years of L&D/OB nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and intermediate AWHONN certifications
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, with NOC shifts and on-call duties; 36–48 hours per week; 6–8 call shifts every 6 weeks; no guaranteed block scheduling or consistent weekends off
