Travel Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Job
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position in a skilled nursing facility located in Waterloo, NY. Start date: 03/31/2026. This travel assignment spans 15 weeks with weekly pay ranging from $793 to $818 per week. Shift schedule is 5x8 rotating (7.5-hour shifts) with weekend scheduling required. The role involves direct and indirect resident care under licensed supervision, with responsibilities aligned to adult and geriatric care. Active NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS are required, along with a minimum of one year of prior LTC CNA experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect resident care under supervision, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, toileting, turning/positioning, and skin care; document per protocol
- Maintain safe, clean resident environment and respond to call lights and alarms promptly; monitor equipment for function and safety; follow safety and fall prevention policies
- Support residents’ nutrition by delivering meals, preparing trays, assisting with feeding or nourishments, and documenting intake as required
- Assist with rehabilitative/restorative needs per the plan of care, including range of motion exercises, assisting with ambulation and transfers, proper body alignment, and use of assistive devices; document progress per protocol
- Respect residents’ rights, document refusals or concerns, and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse or supervising nurse
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, with awareness of exposure risk to blood and body fluids; perform duties in accordance with facility policy
Requirements
- Active NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (NYS CNA) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) required
- Minimum 1 year of prior LTC experience or CNA experience in a related setting
- Ability to work 7.5-hour shifts in a rotating schedule, including every weekend
- Demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate care for adult and geriatric residents
- Ability to follow the plan of care, document accurately, and collaborate with licensed staff
