Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Hermiston, OR. Travel assignment starts 07/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,147 to $2,188 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12 rotating in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This Travel - Temporary Assignment offers hands-on adult medical-surgical care before and after procedures within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
- Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission and document care appropriately; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform general nursing duties in all departments under appropriate supervision; agency nurses may be floated to other departments within scope.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, convey empathy to patients and families, and provide culturally sensitive care aligned with age-specific needs.
- Contribute to the hospital mission, participate in required education for DNV-related programs, and uphold professional standards in a dynamic clinical setting.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Preferred: BSN or MSN; Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Experience: Previous Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
- Certification/Training: CRASE training may be required if the travel assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and to function effectively in a rotating shift and in a setting that may involve floating to other departments as needed
