Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiography studies for diagnostic purposes, including standard 2D, Doppler, and other echo techniques as appropriate.
- Ensure high-quality imaging by proper patient positioning, protocol adherence, and appropriate equipment settings.
- Maintain smooth patient flow in the echo service line and coordinate with the treating cardiology team to support timely diagnoses.
- Document findings clearly and promptly, assist with preliminary interpretations as required, and participate in QA/QI activities.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and equipment maintenance standards; report any equipment or process issues to leadership.
Requirements
- Echo experience with hands-on echocardiography procedures
- ARDMS or NBE certification required
- Current credentials in echocardiography per professional standards
- Ability to work a 24-hour day shift in a travel assignment
- Willingness to work in a rural, critical access hospital setting for 13 weeks
