Registered Nurse – PCU, IMCU/PCU unit

Weekly pay: 3,047 - 3,240 per week
Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week
Shift: Night shift (12-hour blocks, 4 days on, 4 days off)
Setting: inpatient hospital unit

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for IMCU/PCU patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory concerns; prioritize patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document patient status, administer medications, assess pain, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Manage complex care needs, including post-operative recovery, sepsis, MI, COPD, DKA, and other critical care presentations.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, respiratory therapy, and other team members to coordinate care plans; ensure documentation in EPIC EMR.
- Utilize specialty equipment as needed (e.g., temp pacer, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, Ventilator support) and assist with weaning and troubleshooting under physician and RT guidance.
- Float to other units as required; adapt care plans for adult patients ages 18 and older; maintain unit standards and adherence to protocols.
Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse license; Nursys license verification
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- EPIC EMR experience
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience
- Ability to work nights and to float to related units as needed
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Return-to-work (RTO) requests must be included at submission
