Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including circulating and scrub role support
- Assist with general OR procedures across laparoscopic and open abdominal cases, orthopedics/spine, thoracic, and urology surgeries
- Administer blood products as ordered, monitor patient status, and manage wound care and infection control protocols
- Maintain sterile technique and enforce universal protocol (time-out) to ensure patient safety
- Document care in the EHR (Epic) and coordinate with the surgical team throughout pre-op, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia care
- Respond to intraoperative emergencies and support patient advocacy during the perioperative process

Requirements
- Active compact state RN license must be in hand at submission
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; perioperative/OR experience strongly preferred
- Education: RN degree as required for licensure (not specified beyond standard expectations)
- Perioperative skills: general OR procedures, laparoscopic and open abdominal cases, orthopedics/spine, thoracic, urology; blood product administration; wound management; sterile technique; universal protocol; pre-op/PACU
- Scheduling: Weekend on-call required; facility policies may require occasional travel between nearby sites; must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Additional: Locals not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
