Shift: 5x8 days (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, participate in implementing prescribed treatment plans for patients.
- Facilitate therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and modalities as directed.
- Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
- Assist with a range of rehabilitation modalities and equipment; support safe transfers and mobility activities.
- Contribute to discharge planning and coordination with home health services as appropriate.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and clean/organized treatment areas; collaborate with nursing and therapy teammates.
Requirements
- Active LPTA license
- CPR certification
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Computer literacy for documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to work across outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings as caseload requires
