Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to acquire cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
- Perform CT procedures and related imaging modalities (general radiography and fluoroscopy) per established protocols.
- Position patients, optimize image quality, and implement radiation safety measures.
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location; document procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain image/data integrity in line with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines; manage equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
- Monitor supply levels and participate in basic equipment and room readiness; collaborate with the care team to support patient needs across the adolescent to geriatric populations.

Requirements
- License: Radiologic Technologist licensed in the state of practice (CA) — RT in the state of practice required in CA.
- Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)) required.
- CT Certification: Advanced Certification in CT (required in OR and HI; preferred in CA).
- Fluoroscopy: Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (CA) required if operating fluoroscopy equipment.
- Venipuncture: Venipuncture certification required in CA if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials.
- Basic Life Support: BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; current nursing license per the state of assignment (as noted in job requirements).
- Setting: Ability to work in a home hospice environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
